We stage major productions in the Hawkins Centre in Papakura and other shows in our own Off Broadway Theatre (41 Elliot Street, Papakura opposite the R.S.A.) Auditions for these are advertised in the Courier and in our club newsletter.

For those who prefer to work behind the scenes there are a wide variety of jobs available from Front-of-House to Backstage! (see below)

Our Off Broadway clubrooms and theatre is available for hire for private functions, weddings, seminars and most other occasions. Facilities include a bar and a kitchen. Theatre lighting for special occasions can be arranged.

Papakura Theatre Company has three types of membership available, all excellent value for money:

Child (at school) - $15
Adult (including tertiary students) - $30
Family (two adults and two children) - $45

Members of the Papakura Theatre Company enjoy the following:

A complimentary ticket for the PTC show of your choice.

Early advice of shows to ensure that you get your choice of seats.

Block bookings to other shows (both amateur and professional).

Possible training in your area of interest (eg sound, lighting, make up etc.)

Regular social events (eg club nights, parties, debates, charades, one-act plays, fun evenings).

A regular newsletter keeping members informed of what is happening in our club and sharing news of our members.

Adult members have voting rights at our AGM and any Special General Meetings.

Each year we have our awards night, The Off Broadway Awards, to present deserving members an award with respect for the previous year.
